Mary is an Indiana-based photographer whose career in finance, most of it as a CFO in banking, ran alongside a quieter parallel life in photography. A fine arts degree from Indiana University led to teaching black-and-white darkroom photography at a local college, and eventually to a commercial photography practice that has spanned more than 25 years shooting product work for a national client.The work was always there. Darkroom first, then product work that demanded precision and consistency across decades of catalogue shoots. Since retiring, the lens has turned outward — diving, traveling and photographing landscapes. More recently, a pull toward something less predictable led to immersive street and documentary workshops, a shift from the composed and controlled toward the observed and unscripted.
